My thirty-third wedding anniversary is coming up this Saint Patrick's Day. I got married on March 17, 1977. The primary reason that I got married on that date was so I would always remember my wedding anniversary. March 17th was also my favorite grandmother's birthday and it was also my wife's brother's birthday. To top things off both my father and my brother had Patrick as a middle name. So every year when I think about Saint Patrick's Day I first think about that day in 1977 when I made the most important decision of my life and married my sweet wife. Well, maybe that was the second most important decision in my life, the first being giving my life to God. And I'm sure that my wife came to me because of that first decision of mine. It sure is great to have such a wonderful life filled with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all because I took my wife into my life.
So I have been thinking about what kind of appropriate gift that can I give my wife for an anniversary present. I know she likes aromatic candles but for this occasion I want to get more. Candles can be a good secondary gift, maybe give her a nice candle first and then lay some unique gift on her. My mind naturally drifted towards jewelry but what kind? I thought of Pearl earrings but it just didn't seem the best thing. I thought about getting a gold charm bracelet but decided against that because I wouldn't be able to figure out what gold charms to use. Then I thought of ring jewelry. My wife does like to wear ring jewelry. I thought of a silver ring but then realized that she already had a couple. I went and looked up what kind of jewel was for a thirty third anniversary. I found that a contemporary thirty third anniversary gift has a theme of Amethyst. I now had a specific direction to go in.
A friend of mine had told me about an online store called Purple Rose Candles and Gifts located at www.purplerosecandlesandgifts.com. I checked the store out and found it to be well organized and it had Amethyst ring jewelry. It also carried lots of candles. Anyway, it didn’t take me long to find something that I am sure my wife will love. The 14K White Gold and Amethyst & Diamond Ring with 0.09 Carats Diamond and 1.10 Carat Total Weight Amethyst is just perfect. You can get an idea from the picture above but the detail about the ring on the product page clarifies it by saying “This elegant ring features an oval shaped amethyst weighing 1.10 carats surrounded with dazzling diamonds at .09 carats. The amethyst design is mounted on a slender polished 14 karat white gold band.”
I am almost certain I will buy the Amethyst ring but I’m waiting until March when it’s closer to my anniversary to order it. That way it will give me a chance to feel out my wife about jewelry in general and Amethyst ring jewelry in particular.
